Snowdonia National Park (9 miles)
Snowdonia National Park, known as Eryri in Welsh, is a stunning area in North Wales, famous for its mountains, lakes, and rich biodiversity.
Snowdonia National Park covers an area of 823 square miles (2,130 km²), making it the largest national park in Wales and the third largest in the UK.
The park is home to Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), the highest mountain in Wales, standing at 1,085 meters (3,560 feet). It is part of a range that includes 15 peaks over 3,000 feet.
Clocaenog Forest - Bod Petryal Park and Walking Forest (3 miles)
The forest area is reputed to be the largest outside Scotland, the main reservoir the 'Llyn Brenig', has a visitor centre.
The area has many interesting walks, also an Archaeology Trail, the area is open for horse riding, cycling and walking.
