Photo captures Crown pub landlords - past and present. Over 50 years of history and patronage embracing one another.
For around 300 years, it has been a place people stop at while travelling through this part of North Wales — first as a Welsh drovers’ inn, and now as a village pub with a riverside campsite.
Over the years, The Crown has been shaped by the people who’ve run it, worked in it, and made it part of the local community. Today, The Crown Inn & Campsite is run by Jo and Derry.
Since taking on the pub and campsite, they’ve brought their own personality into how the place works — refitting the kitchen, reworking the menu, and making changes that build on what was already here. From working with local brewers and creating a house ale brewed specifically for The Crown Inn, to putting their own stamp on pub classics - their focus is on respecting local history while bringing fresh ideas of their own.
“What makes the Crown Inn isn’t just the building — it’s the people, the conversations, and the moments that happen here, day in and day out. That’s why we do it.”
— Jo & Derry
